dc.description.abstract Regarding HIV/AIDs there are very less information on the awareness and knowledge of graduates and under graduate’s students on HIV/AIDS in Pakistan. The current study is designed to determine the general perception about HIV/AIDS among university student of three Universities of Malakand Division Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Data has been collected through Questionnaire and cross-sectional studies were done on 248 University Students (graduates and Undergraduates) about the common perception, transferring and protection of AIDS. About the testing of tool of data collection, the questionnaire comprising of five questions in each sub-topic were given to students for pre-testing from various universities of Malak and Division. The results have been analyzed in the form of tables with frequency distribution and percentage with the help of SPSS version 20. In last the study found that about HIV/AIDS knowledge of students were rationally suitable but there were still some misconceptions i.e. some respondents believed that HIV can be transmit from one individual to another by shaking hands, or sitting close to an individual who have AIDS or eating food with AIDs patient. In the last the study suggested that on regular basis seminars, workshops should be organized for universities students on universal discrimination reduction, social stigma and precautions measures to reduce the HIV/AIDS from the Society en_US
