Abstract:
The project is about advancement in e-procurement of Fauji Cement’s company. It contains an implementation plan with a proposed design of enterprise resource planning (ERP). We have suggested SAP as an implementation in supply chain department for the organization. As it is one of most workload department. The report has different aspects for implementation of an ERP system. The introduction covers the brief history of the organization. The objective of the project is to ease things for the Fauji cement. A comprehensive requirement analysis provides organization with the picture of what they need to have to implement SAP. Moreover, a problem statement defines their issue of delayed services and lower customer satisfaction. Design and implementation section contains information about what would it be like to have an ERP system running in an organization. Implementation plan includes all technical/non-technical aspects of the organization. It is imperative for Fauji cement to understand the changes they have to bring in their organizational setting in order to have SAP implemented. The project provides pre-and post-implementation plans and requirements for Fauji cement. It is important to understand what actions are required after implementing an e-procurement system. A set of action plan which consists of those requirements are presented in the report. The testing and deployment is one of the important stages in ERP. Therefore, a strong set of actions have been mentioned in that section. A procedure of how it would be deployed in the organization has been substantially covered. It is going to revolutionize the way Fauji cement operates in the market. A system which is centrally connected and provides efficient services will reduce bad customer services and enhance brand image in the market.
