dc.description.abstract The present research aimed at investigating the impact of educational systems on tolerance levels among adolescents. A sample of 100 students was taken purposively from three different schools (n= 50 from a co-educational setting (25 boys, 25 girls), n= 50 from the single-sex school setting (25 boys, 25 girls)). Tolerance level was measured by using the Tolerance for Disagreement Scale (Teven, Richmond and McCroskey, 1998). The scale consisted of 15 items measuring the levels of tolerance in individuals regarding beliefs that are opposite to theirs. Results of Chi- Square Test showed that girls were more tolerant than boys, however, no significant difference was found in tolerance levels in both the genders with regard to both educational systems. en_US
