dc.description.abstract The study was aimed to investigate the relationship between Parental Neglect and Teenage Obesity. It was hypothesized that there would be a significant relationship between Parental Neglect and Teenage Obesity. A total sample of 50 participants were selected, in which there were 25 male and 25 female participants from the age range of 13-19 years. It was made certain that those individuals were excluded who were obese either due to some medical condition or heredity. Purposive sampling was used to collect the data. Multidimensional Neglectful Behavior Scale (Form A) was used to assess the variable of Parental Neglect. While, Obesity was measured using the Body Mass Index Scale (BMI) for teenagers. Data was analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Coefficient of Correlation and t-test. Results of the study indicated that there exists significant correlation between Parental Neglect and Teenage Obesity, hence hypothesis was accepted. en_US
