dc.description.abstract The effectual and constructive utilization of Supply chain effectiveness and SCM practices is gaining increased recognition worldwide because it is a tool that can be used by organizations to attain a sustainable competitive edge over their competitors and it also helps in improving the overall performance of the organization. If an organization wants to be financially successful in the local as well as international market, then it must focus on improving its Supply chain management practices. Nowadays the market conditions are very unsure and nothing can be predicted accurately, so to survive in such unfavorable market conditions an organization must have an efficient supply chain network. Supply chain management practices are very essential for the survival of the retailer business in Pakistan because they supply products to the end user. If the Supply chain management practices are not implemented properly then the retailer sector of Pakistan would not be able to prosper. The following research concentrates and tries to find out the affect of SCM practices (Information Sharing and Process Integration) on supply chain effectiveness and mediating role of network complexity in the retailer industry of Pakistan. A Questionnaire was developed by the researcher which contained questions regarding the Independent variables, the mediating variable and the dependent variable. The response was collected from 240 working employees, managers and owners in the retailer sector of Pakistan. The cities chosen in this survey by the researcher were Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The data collected with the help of questionnaires was inspected and understood by using the Software SPSS. To examine the connection between the independent variables, the mediating variable and the dependent variable, we took the help of Pearson Correlation and the Multiple Regression analysis. The results from comprehensive and immense research suggested that Information sharing and process integration have a positive impact on Supply chain effectiveness. Whereas both Information sharing and process integration have a negative impact on Network complexity, which in turn has a negative impact on Supply chain effectiveness. This research was aimed to examine the Retailer sector of Pakistan from the Supply chain’s point of view. Further research can be done in other sectors and industries of Pakistan.
