dc.description.abstract The present study aimed at determining whether there would be correlation between body esteem and self-esteem in young female adults. For this reason, the sample comprised of 50 participants, between the ages of 18-24 years from different departments of the different Universities, currently enrolled in different university programs. Data was collected by using a consent form, a demographic formjthe Body esteemQuestionnaire (Franzoi & Shields, 1984) and then the Self esteem Questionnaire (Rosernberg 1965). The results showedthe Pearson Correlation value is.277 and it is a positive correlation which displays that one variable increases the other increases. As the significant value is (P= 0.51) between two variables, it is considered to be 95% confident that the relationship between these two variables is not due to chance. From the results it can be inferred that, there is a positive correlation between body esteem and self-esteem in young female adults. From the point of view of the current study, it is suggested that for future researches based on the similar study, larger sample size, ranging from all age groups, educational qualifications, and socioeconomic positions should be deliberated. Along with a diverse population, both females and males data can be derived and the categories presented in the scale should be individually studied for better resuts. en_US
