dc.description.abstract The aim of the present research was to study the psychological effects of corporeal punishment on young students. It was hypothesized that young students who reported frequent corporeal punishment scored low on self-esteem scale and scored high on emotional indicators on Human figure Drawing (HFD) than non-corporeal students. In order to measure the corporeal punishment a check list was made and to evaluate the level of self- esteem Rosenberg self-esteem scale was used and to assess the emotional indicators HFD was used. The sample of the research consisted of forty students, twenty corporeally punished students and twenty non-corporeally punished students. Their age range was between 10-15 years. The statistical software used was Mini tab .The results revealed that low self-esteem and high emotional indicators are significant amongst corporeally punished students as compared to non-corporeally punished students. en_US
