dc.description.abstract The purpose of the present research was to study the effects of maternal employment on children’s need for achievement. The sample of the present study was 40 students of working and non-working mothers from intact families. The sample was selected from different educational institutions between the age ranges of 18 to 24. The questionnaire was administered individually. Items were selected from Edwards Personal Preference Schedule (EPPS) to assess the need for achievement of these students. For statistical analysis of the data, Minitab was used. The results show that need for achievement is higher among students whose mothers are working as compared to those whose mothers are not working. en_US
