Impact of supply chain management practices On performance of hospitality sector In pakistan

Abstract

The objective of the study was that how supply chain practices effect the organization performance of the various hotels in Pakistan. These days’ supply chain management is generally considered a new concept for management businesses around business activities and organizations. To increase the organization performance most of the organization used different approaches. During the study three dimensions of SCM practices are identified which are strategic supplier partnership, level of information sharing and logistics. The study was quantitative in nature and the population of the study was different hotel of Pakistan. From the population, the sample size was 100 employees of different hotel which are mainly from managers and officers in supply chain department and operation department. From 100 employees of hotels data was collected for the study. By using Pearson correlation, relationship was tested and by using regression analysis casual relation was analyzed through SPSS software. Strong relationship between SCM practices and organizational performance is concluded from the results. Therefore, to achieve advancement in marketing and financial performance in the long-run through enhancing organizational performance, it is better for the organization to give due emphasis to the constructs of SCM practices. The study recommends that for more improvement of the performance of an organization it is important to give attention on the SCM practices more plus improving in financing and marketing.
