Abstract:
This research is based on lean supply chain practices in the manufacturing firms of different sectors and how these variables and all the factors affect operational performance in Pakistan and here all these factors are discussed and shows that how they can be implemented and what benefits they can cause if we implement them in our organizations. By doing the study demand management, standardization, cost reduction and waste elimination and organizational behaviours are independent factors and operational performance is the dependent factors. The whole study shows that how all these independent variables affect the indicators of dependent variables for all those firm who are manufacturing their products in Pakistan and is applied on all the manufacturing sectors including telecom, automobile, food and beverages, synthetics, oil and petrol, textile industry the business performance of buyer is dependent variable and relationship was checked that how it shows the relationship with all of them. The study shows that all these four independent variables have highly positive relationship with operational performance. There are few challenges that are discussed through the study that there is still employee resistance to change, financial issues of the organization, unawareness and expertise related to new tools and techniques are some challenges that are faced by the organization, due to which they cannot implement or partially implement all the practices to have efficient ways to enhance their productivity and outcomes. The study questionnaires were distributed to the organizational employees to analyse that how organizations are implementing these practices, what benefit they are getting, how they are making their performance better in operations and productivity, how they are creating value for their customers by reducing their cost and waste elimination and what type of problems employees are facing then data was gathered and results were concluded to check the relationship and impact of these practices on cost that leads to increase in operational performance. There are few limitations in the study as there were studies done by foreign countries so it was difficult to have comparison of the result with other studies and other limitations was to collect the data as it was difficult task to get the accurate data in such a limited time
