Impact of supplier management over operational Performance of the firm, A perspective of Pakistan Environment

Abstract

The reason behind this research to ensure the effect of supplier management over the operational performance of the firm specifically with respect to Pakistan business environment. There are basically three supplier management practices through which we have analyzes, that are supplier assessment, logistics integration and strategic long-term relationship. There are four level of performances through which we have analyzed the operational performance of the firm that are quality, delivery, flexibility and cost. In the research, we have try to prove the significant effect of supplier management practices which are, strategic long-term, supplier assessment and logistics integration over the quality, delivery, flexibility and cost performance of the firm. For that purpose, a questionnaire was developed, and data was collected by different firms of Pakistan, afterward different hypothesis test has been applied on received data. And results show that there is direct relationship between long-term relationship between quality, flexibility and cost performance of the firm, supplier assessment and quality performance of the firm, logistics integration and delivery, flexibility and cost performance of the firm. Overall, we can say that supplier management does have strong effect on the operational performance of the firm
