Abstract:
Purpose: The thesis aim is to assess the determinants of port performance and their impact on customer satisfaction.
Methodology: This research is of typically quantitative approach. Data will be gathered through primary source by selecting the criteria of 550 port customers and for collection of data a questionnaire will be used.
Findings: Findings for this study shows that this research helps other port authorities and officials who wants to improve the competitiveness and performance of their ports, should consider the determinants of port performance very carefully. Several other studies reveals that all the determinants of port performance has a positive and significant impact on port performance and customer satisfaction.
Practical Implication: This research study have multiple practical implications for other ports of Pakistan. Other ports can use these determinants to assess their port performance on customer satisfaction. The emphasis of the literature is that these determinants of port can influence port performance and customer satisfaction. As the development of global supply chain network, it is important for the port to operate efficiently and effectively. Since the competition is very stiff the performance of port is very critical in this regard.
This research was aimed at determining the determinants of port performance and their impact on customer satisfaction. The most relevant factors were identified and a model that determines the port performance determinants and their impact on customer satisfaction was applied.
