Abstract:
Purpose: This research study is performed with an objective to determine impact of teamwork
on employee performance in a government organization that is Port Qasim Authority. Further, it
also enhances the components of teamwork that are found in the organization and contributing in
improving the employee performance. Explanatory research has been followed in this research
work.
Research Methodology: The study is primary in nature and follows quantitative approach.
Likert scale is used in this research to quantify the results of the respondents on scale from l to 5.
The population of study is on the government organization and the target population is Port
Qasim Authority. Non-probability convenience sampling is used as a sampling technique.
Sample sizes of 200 respondents were taken in this research work. The instrument used for data
collection was questionnaire to collect responses from the targeted population. In this study
components of teamwork used are team trust, rewards & recognition and esprit de corps which
are independent variable while the employee performance is the dependent variable.
Findings of the Research: The research reveals that there is a positive impact of teamwork,
team trust, rewards & recognition and esprit de corps on employee performance in Port Qasim
Authority.
Practical Implications: The study clearly indicates that the teamwork has positive outcomes on
employee performance and it can be further improved by giving flexibility in taking decisions
and training the employees.
