| dc.description.abstract | Purpose: The aim of the study is to determine how trainer’s attributes can influence training effectiveness. The objectives that have been proposed for this particular study are to: study the concept of trainer’s attributes and training effectiveness, study the relationship between trainer’s attributes and training effectiveness and to provide recommendations to the organizations operating within the hospitality sector of Pakistan regarding how they can improve their training practices. Methodology: The nature of research is explanatory and quantitative. A well-structured questionnaire was used as research instrument for collection of primary quantitative data. Using SPSS software: Cronbach Alpha, Pearson Correlation, Regression and Co-efficient Correlation tests were applied. Data was collected from selected banks. Target population is 6,000, sample size is 200. Findings: The findings revealed a very strong and essential link between a trainer’s attributes and training effectiveness. However, there are some factors a trainer needs to have and is a direct and dependent factor on effective training while some factors are independent. Besides that two factors namely, trainer’s rapport with trainees and trainers comfort level directly had an impact on training effectiveness. Practical Implications: The findings/results of this research will most likely benefit companies, the trainers and people who appoint trainers as well to improve training effectiveness by looking at factors affecting it. It will also help give an insight on what attributes should a trainer have and further look for mentors who possess them for effective training. | en_US |
