Abstract:
Purpose of Study: To highlight the aspects that influences the organizational performance. The
study further defines the influence of Supply Chain Management Practices and Supplier
Evaluation Practices on Organizational Performance.
Methodology: The research is created on primary quantitative data which was collected from a
targeted sample size with the help of research instrument (questionnaire), where 400 respondents
out of which 231 filled the questionnaire. The finding of this research are shown by frequency
tables. Quantitative data collected was then examined by regression and descriptive with the help
of SPSS.
Findings: The study describes a significant and positive influence of Supply Chain Management
Practices on the Organizational Performance, which stated that organizations should promote
supply chain management activity to get benefit on organizational performance as well have
competitive edge on other but there is negative insignificant impact of supplier evaluation
practices on organizational performance; which may be because of the fact that supplier
evaluation practices are not yet practically implemented in Pakistan’s culture of purchasing
function.
Implications: Main focus of this research is to help organizations in improving their performance by implementing the practice of the supply chain management; the need is due with the change in technology and intensified globalized situation which change the market dynamics and competitive environment, so the findings of this research can help organizations in Pakistan who want improve their competitive edge and organizational performance, should follow and apply a supply chain management practices. The findings derived from various purchasing manager who are in practice state that the supplier evaluation practices has negative impact on job design while the supplier evaluation has positive and significant impact on the performance of an organization.
