dc.description.abstract The study aims to identify the effect of employee motivation on employee retention based on strategic human resource practices applied in P&G. The study involves distinctive measures of strategic human resource practices to be a tool to retain employees for the longer period. The study is quantitative in nature which is based on collecting data from almost 301 employees of P&G. The data has been collected from primary sources which then be compared by means of using both MS Excel and linear regression analysis tool. The results obtained signify the importance of strategic human resource practices to be the key to motivating the employees towards organizational goals and objectives. The motivated employees are effective obtaining organizational goals and are more comfortable at the workplace which helps them retained in the organization. The study also concludes that strategic human resource practices are an effective tool for training and development of employees as well as for the implication of leadership traits at the organization level. The concept of motivation in this scenario at the workplace can be further explored in reference to intrinsic and extrinsic attributes for increased employee retention and engagement. en_US
