Abstract:
Purpose:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of hiring and selection process,
skills development programs, performance evaluation process and financial and other benefits
on employee degree of job indulgence in SSGC.
Research Methodology:
This study is explanatory aimed at identifying influence of selected independent variables on
job satisfaction. Furthermore, deductive approach was followed whereby hypotheses were first
developed and a questionnaire was prepared as a data collection instrument. The targeted
population of current study was around 2500 employees working in SSGC Pakistan and a
sample size of 333 is selected for current study employee random probability sampling
technique. In this study correlation technique and multivariate regression technique were
employed.
Findings of the Research:
The results of the study indicate that all four hypotheses constructed are accepted at 5 percent
degree of significance and all selected independent variables i.e. hiring and selection, skills
development, performance evaluation and salary and benefits have positive influence on level
of job indulgence. It has observed that the influence of salary and benefit is more evident as
compare to other variables hence identified as more critical factor to employee degree of job
indulgence.
Practical Implications:
This study is quite helpful to the human resource professionals to understand the role of hiring
and selection, skills development, performance evaluation and salary and benefits in
identification of employee attitude towards organizational in assist in designing policies to
improve human resource quality.
