Abstract:
Purpose:
The current research focuses on the reasons and factors that help the companies to take
logistics outsourcing decisions. These factors will helps the managers in food companies to
understand when to take outsourcing decision and when to provide it themselves.
Methodology/sample:
The current research is based on decision making criteria of logistics outsourcing and since
existing theory is being used for application in different context, deductive approach is
deemed appropriate. The current research is based on two research designs i.e. cross section
research and descriptive research. The descriptive research has been selected because the
current research reflects on the behavior and cross section research design is used because the
data is collected in one point of time. The current research is based on two research designs

hence, a sample of 100 purchase officers has been selected. The data will be tested using
SPSS through statistical treatment. Correlation and regression applied.
Findings:
Organizations do outsourcing to enhance their product quality, reduce cost and capitalize on
their competence. Practical Implications:
The study is very useful because it helps in understanding the importance of factors for
outsourcing decision.
