Abstract:
Purpose: The aim of the study is to determine the ‘Impact of Human Resource Management Practices on Employee Job Satisfaction at Pakistan International Airline, Head Office Karachi’. Human Resource Management Practices is considered as an important characteristic in improving organizational performance. The effectiveness of HRM practices plays an important role in satisfying employees with their job.
Methodology/Sample: The nature of the study is explanatory which is based on quantitative data. Quantitative data is basically collected through questionnaires floated at Pakistan International Airline, Head Office Karachi involved 306 respondents as a sample size. To analyze the data collected through the respondents, correlation and regression tests were applied.
Findings: The research study has declared no significant effect of Performance Appraisal and Compensation on Employee Job Satisfaction at Pakistan International Airline, Head Office. However, other HRM practices such as Training and Development, Benefits and Health and Safety have a significant impact on Employee Job Satisfaction.
Practical Implications: The implication of the research is based on the finding/results generated from the analysis. The findings/results will help the organization determine its weaknesses and flaws and enable them to take corrective actions to overcome these weaknesses. It will also help the organization in finding ways to satisfy its employees and enable effectiveness of HRM practices. Other organizations of air industry can equally benefit from this study.
