Abstract:
Purpose:
The purpose of carrying out this research was to determine the impact of performance
appraisal system on employee motivation. In order to examine their relationship, Faysal Bank
has been selected as an organization for analysis.
Methodology:
The research methodology for this study is explanatory and quantitative in nature. A sample
of 200 individuals from Faysal bank was selected for the research. A questionnaire was
distributed among the respondents in order to get primary data. The data was treated by using
statistical tools correlation and regression analysis, with the help of software SPSS.
Findings:
The findings of the research suggest that, all the variables have significant positive impact on
employee motivation, though with varying degree. However, periodic review has the most
significant impact on employee motivation at Faysal bank, as compared to other variables.
Implications:
The findings of this research are likely to help the management of Faysal bank in maintaining
better employee motivation by using PA system. Currently the bank is working on developing
goals and making the employees aware of them in their earlier stages. The study is considered
equally useful for other banks of the industry. Similarly, managers of other organizations can
also get benefit from the study.
