Abstract:
Purpose:
The aim of the research done was to find out the impact of Human Resource Practices on
Employee Satisfaction in the Textile sector of Pakistan. The human resource practices which
have been considered in this research are training and development, Compensation &
Performance appraisal which are considered as essential tools for employee satisfaction.
Effort have been made to check the impact of above listed practices on employee satisfaction.
Methodology/Sample:
The research, having explanatory nature, involved the quantitative data that has been collected
through a questionnaire. The data was collected from the sample of 100 employees of
managerial level of four different Textile companies of Karachi. For analyzing the data,
Regression and Correlation tests were applied.
Findings:
It is found by using the analysis results that there is no proper training and development
activities in the textile sector of Pakistan. Even though companies conduct training programs
but their frequency needs to be revised also it is been found through the analysis that
compensation and benefits and also the performance appraisal are the key functions in
employee satisfaction in the textile industry of Pakistan
Practical Implications:
The results and findings of the research are going to help the management and the managers
about the training and development importance, compensation and benefits practices also the
performance appraisal systems that how they can take benefits by finding about the
weaknesses and strengths of their subordinates and through trainings these weaknesses can be
erased in order to achieve the organizational goals in a better and proper way.
