Abstract:
Reverse Logistics processes has become a hot topic because of its significance in
generating monetary benefits and also in lessening wastages and pollution from the
environment. But still we know very little about reverse logistics processes. And also
about the drivers and variables that encourages the industry to initiate reverse logistics
activities. In this research four drivers are considered to check their impact on reverse
logistics adoption: customer & stake holder pressure, regulatory pressure, corporate
citizenship pressure and financial & competitive pressure on the manufacturing
industries in Pakistan. Data were collected through survey questionnaire and this data
was used to study the effects of these four drivers. Regression technique was used and
the results indicate that financial & competitive pressure and regulatory pressure has a
significant and positive effect on the level of reverse logistics adoption. Also,
customer / stakeholder pressure has a significant and negative effect on the level of
reverse logistics adoption.
