dc.description.abstract Purpose: The purpose of my research work is to explore the relationship that exists in between Leadership-styles and the employee commitment in oil and gas businesses. At the same time it finds its impact towards the firm. Democratic, Autocratic and laissez Faire- leadership are the three different Leadership-styles that act as an Independent variables. However EC such as affective, normative and continuance commitment act as the dependent variable in this research. With the help of this research the manager in the oil and gas industry of Pakistan will learn that how Leadership-styles make a new foot-print on the employee commitment and on the organizational success too. Methodology/sample: The research instrument used by me to carry out my thesis work is questionnaire which contains 36 questions and is filled by 400 respondents. The demographics part shows that the respondents belonged to different age level, designation and has been working long in these two organizations. SPSS was used and data gathered in it. Furthermore, Regression, ANOVA and Correlation tests were implemented. Findings: The result identifies that there tends to an association between leadership-styles (LS) and Employee-Commitment (EC) which exaggerates an implied effect on the employees’ working, involvement and turnover. The model-summary figures shows that there is a positive strong impact exist between the dependent (Employee-Commitment) and independent (Leadership-Style) variables. The R square a value shows that independent variable explain 99.3% variation in the Employee-Commitment. The remaining 0.7 % variation is still undescribed however. Practical Implications: The results of the examination may help the corporate chiefs, government arrangement formulators and other related quarters to comprehend the effect of Leadership-styles (LS) towards employee commitment in oil and gas industry of Karachi, Pakistan. en_US
