dc.description.abstract Purpose: The purpose of this research was to find out the impact of performance appraisal on the job satisfaction of teachers in Cambridge Schools in Karachi. Performance Appraisal is an important tool to create employee commitment and motivation. Investigations and findings were made to study the impact of various components of performance appraisal on the employee satisfaction and performance. Methodology/sample: The research consisted of quantitative data collected through questionnaire. The data was collected for a sample of 184 both male and female teachers of 5 Cambridge schools of Karachi. To analyze the data, regression and Correlation tests were applied. Findings: The investigations and study has found that periodic review does not affect the appraisal system in Cambridge schools. However, participative goal setting allows the management and teachers to share their expectations and suggestions with each other. Feedback and final evaluation helps the employees and the organization to improve their performance. Practical Implication: The findings of this research will help the school management about the impact of PAS on the performance of the employees and its limitations. Participative goal setting can influence the job commitment and motivation level of employees. Although the goals are set in the beginning of the year but periodic view and timely feedback can help improve the productivity of employees.
