Abstract:
Purpose: This research paper aims at finding out the impact of Human Resource Management
practices on Employee Job Satisfaction at Meezan Bank Limited, Karachi. Human Resource
management practices are the policies and procedures which let the employees to reach a satisfactory level regarding their jobs. The practices are considered an essential tool to
develop and motivate employees. Effort was made to find out the effectiveness of HRM
practices by looking at its various aspects and activities.
Methodology/Sample: The research, being explanatory in nature, involved quantitative data collected through a
questionnaire. The data was collect from a sample of 270 employees (both male and female) belonging to different departments of Meezan Bank Limited, Karachi. To investigate and
analyze the data, Regression and Correlation tests were applied.
Findings: The results of this research have declared that there is no impact of recruitment and selection
on satisfaction level of employees at Meezan Bank Limited, Karachi. The organization does not have an effective and partial hiring procedure, although it is of prime importance for job
satisfaction in order to get the best of employees. However, other HRM practices that are training and development, performance appraisal, compensation and rewards and recognition are a source of satisfaction for the employees at Meezan Bank Limited, Karachi,
as these are strongly influential on the satisfaction level of employees.
Practical Implications: The findings/results of this research are likely to help the management of Meezan Bank Limited, Karachi about the improvement of HRM practices to maximize employee job satisfaction and also about any kind of weaknesses in the policies and practices adopted by
the organization. This study can be a beneficial source for many other organizations.
