Abstract:
This thesis is a study of the cross docking challenges; an investigative approach. The
following variables were used Cross Docking on Layout Design of Dock, Transshipment,
and Cost Optimization was kept as the independent variable, and Performance of the firm
was a dependent variable. After an in deeply review of literature, three hypotheses were
designed in which all independent variables significant are positively related to
performance of the firm. The survey was conducted to collect the data from the
employees of different organizations. The non-probabilistic procedures was used to draw
a sample. Analysis was made then, in which results showed that Cross Docking on
Layout Design of Dock, Transshipment, and Cost Optimization have positive effect on
performance of the firm.
