Abstract:
The research objective of the present has been described as to examine the impact of supply
chain integration on the operational performance of the companies. And also highlights the
significance of customer integration, supplier integration and internal process integration with
respect to operational performance of the companies. These are the core objectives of the present
study as to empirically estimate the possible dimensions of supply chain integration and
organizational performance. Total 214 responses were collected from the supply chain
professionals related to the pharmaceutical companies of Pakistan using purposive sampling
technique. Multiple regression analysis was used as data analysis technique for estimating
relationship amid supply chain integration and operational performance. The results showed that
customer integration and supplier integration have positive and significant association with the
operational performance. But, internal integration has been found as positive but insignificantly
associated with operational performance of the pharmaceutical companies of Pakistan. The study
concludes that operational performance has been significantly influenced by supplier integration
the most and proven that appropriate level and processes to be integrated with the supplier would
beneficially enhances the operational performance of the pharmaceutical companies of Pakistan.
Afterwards, customer integration also plays significantly important role for the advancement of
operational performance of the pharmaceutical industry.
