dc.description.abstract | Keeping track of health and fitness in today’s busy life style has become very difficult. Considering the health and time concerns of its employees, most organization provide gym facilities; however, most of these gyms lack professional trainers. Due to lack of professional training, new gym goers end up injuring themselves unintentionally. Augmented Reality based mobile applications are a new hype these days. Inspired by their popularity, we have developed an AR based gym training application for those users who are new to the gym environment or don’t want/have a personal trainer. The user captures the image of a gym equipment with his smart phone and the application recognizes the equipment and displays respective exercise animation and related information on the user’s screen. By maintaining a database the application can work on various gym equipment. The best part of this application is that is not internet dependent and can be used where signals are hard to use i.e. in basements etc. | en_US |
