dc.description.abstract The main purpose of the study is to evaluate hydrocarbon potential of Ziarat area that lies in middle Indus basin for delineation of potential leads for future prospects. This is based on the seismic and well data respectively. The seismic data is utilized for the identification of structural trap, marking the different horizons. The seismic interpretation results have been proved by two-way time and depth contour maps. The structure that has been interpreted is Palm tree structure which is making a flower type geometry. Chiltan (Jurassic) and Dungan Formation (Paleocene) are the primary reservoirs in this area but due to very low porosities they cannot be considered as a good reservoirs. en_US
