| dc.description.abstract | Minwal block lies in the southeastern part of Potwar sub-basin. 2D seismic data has been used for the delineation of the subsurface structure of Minwal block and for the reservoir rock analysis, wireline log data of two wells have been utilized. Tectonically the area lies in the compressional regime. The well and the seismic data are tied for picking the reflectors on the seismic. These reflectors are displaced by frontal and back thrust. Time and depth structure maps have been created for picked horizon. The depth structure map constructed shows triangular structure. The orientation of this triangular structure is from NW to SE. In order to determine the potential of hydrocarbons in the Sakesar Limestone which is acting as a reservoir in the study area. | en_US |
