| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this dissertation is to carry out the 2D seismic interpretation of Khushalgarh area inorder to estimate the potential for discovery of hydrocarbons. The data issued included seismic lines, base map, navigation files, well tops and logs of the Jalwal-01. Reflector and faults were marked on the seismic lines and contours have been made which confirms the thrusted anticlinal structures marked on seismic lines. Afterwards petrophysical analysis is done for evaluating hydrocarbon potential with the determination of quantities like average porosity, effective porosity, water saturation and saturation of hydrocarbons etc. On the basis of petrophysical interpretation, the high saturation of water is responsible for the abandoned status of the well. | en_US |
