dc.description.abstract Qadirpur occupies favorable structural position on the Mari-Kandhkot High, developed on the Punjab Platform which is gently westward dipping zone, flanking the Indian Shield. The objective of research is to determine the hydrocarbon potential of Sui Main Limestone of the Eocene age by the help of petrophyiscal techniques using wireline logs. These units have uniform thickness. Different Petrophysical parameter, like Volume of shale, water saturation, porosity and hydrocarbon saturation etc. are taken into consideration for reservoir characterization. The value of hydrocarbon saturation in Sui Main Limestone in well - 14 is 66% with volume of shale 10% while, in well - 15 hydrocarbon saturation is 94.96% and 95.47% with volume of shale is 14.4% and 21.8% in zone 1 and zone 2 respectively. During petrophysical analysis it is concluded that Sui Main Limestone is excellent reservoir in Qadirpur Field with low volume of shale having good effective porosity and high hydrocarbon saturation. en_US
