Abstract:
Present study measures effectiveness of eidetic psychotherapy for GAD clients through Pre and Post Assessment of client. The present study aimed for finding effectiveness of therapy in improving client's physiological and psychological symptoms of GAD after having intervention based on Eidetic Therapy. In present multiple case study sample of 10 participants (5 males, 5 females) were selected through purposive sampling technique. It was conducted in Government Hospital of Abbottabad and a private clinic ofIslamabad and age range of participants were 18-55 years. Participants were assessed for Generalized Anxiety Disorder through Urdu version of GAD- 7 scale. This study was conducted in three phases. In phase one participants were screen out for GAD symptoms and for that Detailed Intake Form and GAD- 7 scale were used. In second phase treatment was done in various sessions using Eidetic Therapy and proper management plan was followed. In last phase post assessment was done 2 weeks after the therapeutic intervention for identifying effectiveness of Eidetic Psychotherapy in symptoms reduction of participants. The data analysis revealed that score of client in Pre Assessment Phase on GAD-7 scale were higher both for males and females (M= 12.80, SD= 3.11) then scores in Post Assessment Phase on GAD-7 (M= 2.60, SD= 1.34) and t = 2.77, p=.02. From above analysis it was concluded that Eidetic Psychotherapy is effective for treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder as in present case studies clear difference in symptoms reduction of Participants were observed in Post Assessment Phase of Therapy. Present study also shredded light on importance of Eidetic Psychotherapy for treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
