Abstract:
Purpose of the study: The primary purpose for conducting this inquiry is to find out impact
of e- procurement on procurement practices and performance of FMCGs industry of
Pakistan.
Research methodology: The data has been collected from FMCG industries based in
Karachi. Primary data has been collected and the type of research is quantitative in nature.
Different test including Correlation and regression has been applied on this research and
collective data has been examined and integrated through SPSS.
Findings: All the hypotheses have been proved as statistically significant. To find impact of
electronic - procurement technology on procurement practices and performance, all the
hypothesis were critically discuss and interpreted. With all the results it is cleared that
information technology, suppliers, employee’s competence and procurement process has
impact on procurement performance.
Practical implication: Without any doubt it can be said that information system and
information technology affect procurement performance and practices, these are the basic
pillars and key performance indicator to sustain procurement performance in a proper way.
In order to get competitive advantages over the competitor’s organization should use latest
procurement techniques to enhance performance. Such organization should adopt latest
information technology tools for procurement so that performance would get more accurate
and would ultimately help organization to achieve higher profitability and competitive edge.
