Abstract:
Purpose: - The aim of this study is to find out the impact of independent variables (collection of data,
integration of data & analyzing of data) along with dependent variable (Quality of decision making) in
strategic decisions taken by different manufacturing Companies. This thesis is focused on weighing
the importance of various variables related to Business Intelligence.
Methodology: - The thesis involved use of questionnaire filled by the 76 Business users in
manufacturing industries. The respondents individually belong to different age group, Different level
of management, expertise and experience. The questionnaire is prepare according to 5-point Likert
Scale ranges from (strongly disagree to strongly agree) and independent variables (Collection of data,
integrating of data and analyzing of data) and dependent variable (quality of decision making) are
included. For estimating questionnaire validity we use concept & construct validity and for reliability
of the questionnaire we use Cronbach’s alpha.
Findings: - According to the findings of this study & past studies it is concluded that Business
Intelligence components, tools and techniques have a huge impact on Organization’s capability to
make timely strategic decisions in the most competitive business market. The major variables that
positively related to the company’s decision making are Collection of data & analyzing of data while
Integration of data has found weak positive relation to company s decision making.
Practical Implications: - The outcome of the research is point out the changes required to increase
the adoption behavior of this technology in Pakistan. Now a day’s technologies & techniques made
system more compatible due to accurate & current information use to know company internal strength
& weaknesses.
