Abstract:
Purpose:
The main purpose of the research was to identify different factors related to talent
management and their relationship with employee satisfaction at Aga Khan Hospital. It was
also endeavored to explore relationship between talent management and employee satisfaction
and recommend changes in the existing talent management process of Aga Khan Hospital.
Methodology:
This research was explanatory in nature in which deductive approach was adopted and
hypotheses were formulated after studying relevant literature. Subsequently, a research
instrument i.e. a well-structured questionnaire was prepared for collecting quantitative
primary data from a selected sample of respondents. The sample size of this research was
approximately 100 employees. The data was collected from all age group, male and female
with the grade ranging from AH1 to AH4.
Findings:
The results showed that selection, utilisation, and talent development and talent keeping all
have a strong relationship with employee satisfaction. The results clearly present the fact that
recruitment selection and talent keeping has a weak relationship on satisfaction of employees
on the other hand, talent utilisation talent development practices adopted by Aga Khan
Hospital are quite satisfactory.
Practical Implications: The study is considered quite beneficial for management of the hospital in understanding
impact of different factor of talent management on employee satisfaction. Other hospitals of
the industry may equally benefit from the findings of this study. Besides, managers of other
industries and academia may also find this study quite useful for the employee satisfaction.
