| dc.description.abstract | Reservoir Characterization is a process of describing various reservoir properties using all the available data to provide reliable reservoir models for accurate reservoir performance prediction. One of the objectives of the seismic method is to achieve subsurface information from seismic reflection data. Petrophysics uses all kinds of logs, core and production data to obtain physical properties of reservoir such as volume of shale, porosity, water and hydrocarbon saturation which help in identifying probable zones of hydrocarbons. Gassmann Fluid Substitution analysis provides information about impact of depleting reservoir on seismic properties. Seismic Structures shows the normal faulting in the Qadirpur area with the evidence strike slip component. The Petrophysical analysis helps in the finding out the good reservoir conditions and these are found to be in Qadirpur well no 15. Total recoverable gas reserves found with the help of data provided by DGPC comes out to be 213 bcf. The slight increase in the Vs at all the saturation levels is observed. The change in the acoustic impedance can be used to prepare synthetics at each level. The carbonates have certain limitations while doing the AVO Modeling using the methodology and terminologies of sand models but the research has proved that the carbonates also depicts the similar properties as well and the results comes out to be the class III to class IV type anomaly. | en_US |
