| dc.description.abstract | Miano gas field located in Central Indus Basin, Pakistan, is chosen to perform seismic interpretation of deeper horizons of Cretaceous age reservoir. Before performing interpretation, data loading, its navigation, quality control (QC) of whole available seismic data and wells data are carried out. Five horizons namely lower Goru D-Sand, C-Sand, B-Sand, A-Sand and Chiltan Limestone are marked. Contour maps are generated both in time and depth domains. Negative flower structures have been interpreted which are conforming to trans-tensional tectonic regime in the area. B sand interval is acting as reservoir for this field. At the level of productive sands, no structural closure is recognized in the study area. In Miano-09 and Miano-10, gas is producing from B-Sand, but Miano-04 is dry due to two main reasons, firstly Miano- 04 is off the structure (structural cum stratigraphic) on seismic data and secondly BSand is thinning out in the Northward direction upto two meters according to the logs. Facies modelling of B-Sand reservoir of Miano-09 and Miano-10 is performed and sand is separated with shale and further more very reasonable demarcation is made between gas and brine saturated sand. | en_US |
