dc.description.abstract Qadirpur covers an area of about 456km2and is situated in the northern region of the province of Sindh. It is located in small village in district Ghotki Sindh, Pakistan. Seismic lines 985-QPR-01, 985-QPR-02, 985-QPR-03, 90-QPR-04, 90-QPR-05 and 90-QPR-06 of Qadirpur block were obtained from Land Mark Resources for the purpose of seismic interpretation. Other than this, well log data of Qadirpur 03 and Qadirpur 14was also obtained from Land Mark Resources for well log analysis. Qadirpur block is basically a dome sequence with negative flower structure, mainly formed because of the transtentional regime of the area. Three Horizons were marked which were Pirkoh Limestone, Habib Rahi Limestone and Sui Main Limestone. Time contour maps were generated for these above mentioned horizons. Using two way travel time and velocity, depth contour maps were also generated for these horizons. Source rock is Sembar Formation in this area. Hydrocarbon traps were most possibly developed in the anticlines and are the prospective zones for hydrocarbon accumulation. To achieve results, the 2D seismic data was inverted to obtain acoustic impedance profile which was then used as part of seismic attribute study applied to the data set. en_US
