dc.description.abstract The present study was conducted to determine the wind pattern variations due to Climate Changes in Jhimpir Region, Sindh-Pakistan, and the effects on Energy Production and variation. For the analysis, long term data of 30 years (from 1984 to 2014) of Hyderabad Airport is used and correlated with the another met-mast data that were installed in Jhimpir region and compare the data from 2007 to 2013 data of temperature, wind speed, wind direction and air density by using the different software’s like WAsP, Windogragher, Google Earth etc. The study also reflects the effect of neighboring wind farms with their micro-siting. The research also determines the roughness of the area, land availability and their conditions. For the calculations of Energy Production, different models of Wind Turbine with different capacities are used to calculate the energy production through simulations and energy production with different air densities i.e., 1.159 kg/m3 and 1.225 kg/m3 has been calculated. The gross and net energy production along with the environmental and other factors that causes the variation in production has also been calculated. The results show that the temperature and air density play a vital role in shifting of wind patterns that directly effects the energy production. If the air density increases, the energy production also increases and vice versa. However, with increase in Wake effect, the energy production decreases. The other factors has also been calculated like environmental effect, turbine efficiency and energy losses. en_US
