Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing the performance of Habib
Metropolitan Bank Limited for the period from 1996 to 2011.
This research uses the regression model in which ROE and ROA were considered as
dependent variables alternatively. A set of internal factors and GDP as external factor
were considered as independent variables. The results indicate that GDP, investment
and capital adequacy were the most significant determinants of the performance of
Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited.
