dc.description.abstract During last two decades, substantial amount of research has been done on contribution of project management methodologies (PMMs) towards project success however the relationship between two has rarely been covered in context of top management support. This study examines the moderating role of top management support on relationship between elements of project management methodology and project success through a cross sectional data collected from 137 project management practitioners from a defence service organization based in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Regression analysis revealed that all three elements of a PMM significantly impacted project success while relationship between project success and only two of the methodology elements, supplemented methodology and applied relevant PMM tools, was moderated by top management support. The results should benefit the academics and project management professionals on use and implementation strategies of the various methodologies for higher levels of project success. en_US
