To investigate the outcomes of this study “workers’ behavior on job indicates the link
between the Psychology and Human Resource Management”. Also find out some
other related outcomes of these issues which are Psychological issues which impact
workers behave on job, Factors hidden of work stress and its impact, Factors may
develop the good environment and its impact on workers behave, Link between time
load, duties, chance to improvement and satisfaction.
Purpose was to search the psychological issues of workers behavior on the job. This is
an exploratory and quantitative survey research accomplish through workers. This
research was done in actual environment. Information was gathered in the 2 month of
2012 September and August. It had 25 respondents which include the male or female
under the age of 20 to 50. All respondent are workers have income from 10000 to
90000 include; Manage, Executives, Officers Workers and Receptionist. This research
based on observed, theoretical and practical data according to conditions includes
both sources of information. Primary information gathered through Observations of
respondent and work place throughout the research. Interviews structured or none
structured from workers and managers to find the views of related work and peoples.
Questioners decorated through close ended question to get the required information.
Secondary information gathered through Internet and Websites. After gathered all
information from different resources it would be set step by step find the total of
every question’s response and got final outcomes into tabulate form and shows these
outcomes by graph in percentage. Evaluate information by editing, abolishing,
together with and illumination the results of this research.
In this exploratory research author find after quantitative survey are that there are
majority of the male and married worker age between 30 to 40 who work from 1 to 5
years mostly at a work place. Majority of the workers get graduation and post
graduation degrees but very few people who done their specialization. Most of the
workers get low gross monthly income between “30000 to 45000 while minority gets
both range 75000 to 90000 and above. Most of the worker, doing job as a manager or
officer and few workers do executive and chief level job. Satisfaction with working environment, are minor from workers and some workers
have control over their jobs but majority can’t control their work in which they have
lot of work load so that’s why lack of control over their jobs may causes to increase
the frustration and anxieties. Workers are also doing not satisfied with their skills
utilization that’s why they suffer stress. Organizations do not invite workers in
decision making process it put only for upper and middle management nor for lower
management.
Workers feels conflict also when they work as junior officer or because of lack of
communication and by their colleagues attitudes. Most of the workers take
supervisors’ contribution as an option for coping with the problem related work while
high numbers of workers confront the problem and can reduce the problem and not go
away. After getting some tension about work some workers take smoke break to relax
them and some are work out by exercise by which they can reduce their stress which
indicates the minimal absenteeism on job.
Workers who have high desire for Interest and usefulness at work when put in their
duties where instrumentally controlled expected to be separated and stressed. Jobs
without interest and use full elements or outcomes will impinge heavily on such
workers. If workers unable to leave the job they will be disturbing, if intelligent and
bored they will be indifferent and hard-working they will be depressed or absent on
sick leave. That’s why many organizations got downsizing after reduce in
productivity and low profit as well as customers’ satisfaction.
Workers work best in stable work teams where they can get to know others well with
the needs for good relationship. Cost of the stress to an Organization may lose day’s
work and absence on sick leave by an employee. Stress lead to poor individual’s
relations and conflict between workers. When people are hurting and surprised by
what happens to them or what they hear about themselves from others, they become
cut off from hope and from a sense of belonging to caring society. Workers loaded by
those feelings cannot easily attend to their normal day to day duty and responsibilities.
Workers who come late and absent are quite substantial and influence productivity
and success negatively.
According to the author tension and lot of work May profound determination effect
on health these implication may exacerbate asthma heart disease, chest and back pain diarrhea migraines diabetes and ulcer. These psychological problems may causes
workers to lose motivation, energy and interest in day to day wok and life. It affects
workers thought process leading to a difficulty or fear of making decision,
hypersensitivity, mental blocks and difficulty concentrating or thinking clearly. The
workers performance can be impairs by the tension stress lot of work and conflict.
There are correlation between work load and their performance.
The HRM must understand the workers’ desire than tell them benefit of their job.
Managers must need to discover the causes of the dissatisfaction of workers within
the working environment. They should talk to their workers and listen carefully their
issues and tell them directly or indirectly which is best for them. Manager should have
the very soft style like water which can vary with the conditions. Psychologist should
make the policy by which workers can do their worker completely and correctly
within the time and give good compensation for extra workings hours. HRM must
play a role model of the workers through their behavior.
PSYCHOLOGIST should Guide workers and give respect and training about new
technologies and ways of the system to doing work well, quick and they can increase
their confident. They should also make the good environment for support the workers
to increase their worth in the organizations and make the procedure of open door
communications because when workers feel good then they react good and more
productive.
HRM should find out those workers whose are low productive and then train them
and Help the workers to resolve the issue to complete their. They should provide the
good feedback which helps the workers to do their work more than previous and
improve their performance and skills. Org Psychologist must workers wellness
program that will be one of the factors by which employer seek that why workers
don’t no access professional help as they have never receive the guidance to that
effect. HRM should revise their decision making strategy and should facilitate an
employee’s skill which helps to feel underutilized.
Psychologist of any organizations should design the time management training on
continuous biased. Manager must reach the; level of their workers and juniors’
knowledge and skills and must agree on the performance contract, so that they can
gives workers with job control over their jobs. |
