Abstract:
Traditional menus have limited information available for the customers. It only mentions the item name, price, etc. and does not provide detailed information about the objects. We consider a case study of Restaurant Menus which don’t have much information about the food. Augmented reality offers ways to enhance user experience. The idea is to enhance the user experience through interactive augmented menu which gives better look and feel and provides more information to the customers for making informed decisions. The results have shown that the system enhances the usability of restaurant menu and gives better user-experience. We evaluate the proposed work through questionnaire and think/talk aloud protocol; the results found shows that this method is effective, enhances the user-experience and helps customers in placing orders.
