dc.description.abstract Medical science learning is a strenuous task when it comes to understand and visualize the things from 2D images or non-interactive models. The common methods used for learning are through images or artificial bodies/dead bodies. The current methods could be enhanced to deliver the difficult concept using modern technologies. Further, traditional methods including diagrams and cadavers only show the top layer of the organs or only beneath the organ at single point. In case a real organ is used, it can be used only once for surgery which means a lot of artificial/dead bodies are required to educate the students. So an interactive method is required which can deliver the medical concepts in more details, in order to have a complete understanding. The outcome of this study is a new augmented reality based learning aid (MAAR) which explains the anatomical structures in more depth and provides a risk free platform for surgery training. The system enhances the learning experience and makes the visualization more strong and result have shown that the system has improved the learning experience of medical professionals. We evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed work using questionnaire, the results obtained shown that this technique is very effective in improving the understanding of students. en_US
