dc.description.abstract This research answers the question with reference to WHY child labor persists in this world even though plenty of action has been taken against it. Child labor is no longer a national or regional problem; it has now reached at a global level. Therefore this problem should not be treated as a whole (for the entire globe) as all the states, societies/cultures and families do not perceive and do not consider child labor similar. This research uncovers all the reasons as to why child labor persists and why the law making bodies were unable to eradicate it. For example; different cultures perceive child labor differently and may react to laws and policies differently; for some cultures child labor may be considered bad and for some work such as household and domestic work may not be considered as child labor at all. Such and many other reasons given through this research will help policy makers in identifying why their policies are not working and what they have to do to fix them. This paper will help them in understanding the child labor problem through different perspectives and WHY this phenomenon exists. en_US
