Abstract:
This paper aims to describe quality management techniques and its implementation on
Yarn industry of Pakistan, study consist of five chapters, chapter one covers the introduction. It
discusses the quality management techniques, defines the research problem, identify the role of
value addition in textile industry of Pakistan, chapter one is concluded by defining the
significance of study. Chapter two is literature review, after reviewing several researches
regarding a critical success factors involved in quality management, I identified several critical
success factor, which are basically quality management techniques it includes Managing
supplier, Focus on customer, Employee Empowerment/Involvement, Orientation of Process,
Communicating required level of quality, Training of employees for developing
multidimensional skills, Role of employees a teamwork approach, and Role of top management,
an organizational perspective. Chapter two is concluded by explaining the role of quality
management practices and their use. Furthermore, Chapter three defines the methodology of this
study used in research. I have used both qualitative and quantitative methods for this study, for
qualitative research survey research have been utilized, the results of this study are shown in
chapter four, which shows that most of the employees of Metco textile private limited prefer
quality management system, as it enables them to perform in an effective and efficient manner.
Lastly, chapter five concludes the study by defining the importance of quality management
system in textile organization. It is also recommended that if spinning mills goes for innovation,
such as blue ocean strategy (Amsler Yarn), it will help them in overcoming the irrelevant
competition.
