Augmented Reality based Restaurant Menu Expert

Abstract

This project is developed for mobile phones based on an android operating system. Restaurant menu expert application helps its users to look at the food by its name. This application is for those people who don’t know about any particular food item and want to know how it looks like. It captures frames from the Augmented Reality and recognizes the text then gives the output image from the web according to recognized text. Image from the internet fetched using Image Uniform Resource Locator (URL). The URLs list is created and searching on the web is avoided, so incorrect images are not loaded and displayed on-screen. It is an internet dependent application. As better the internet speed the faster the result will appear on the screen on mobile.
