Car security and automated car parking system (P-0568) (MFN 3315)

Abstract

The purpose of implementing a computerized parking system in the Bahria University is a step towards an extension in security levels and more well management of vehicles entered and exit the campus. This records all data as up to required details e.g. users and associated vehicle entrance and exit timings. It leads to more organized reporting and proper backup of data. This system is a combination of hardware and software. The Hardware is Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) that would react in the system automatically to collect data of check in and check out time and date without any human operator. The data about vehicle and users have to be entered first in the system by some data entry operator. The Software is used to contain the gathered data that would be used for different purposes. Every vehicle’s entry and exit is permitted on RFID card/sticker. Only one RFID card is issued against one vehicle. Only on correct match of RFID card the system will allow to enter or exit from the university. Else the user and vehicle have to be registered and then RFID card would be allocated. All RFID cards show a unique vehicle. One user might have one than one vehicle so one user might be registered corresponding too many vehicles. Its development changed my thoughts towards professionalism. During development of this project I came to know that scope might be a big thing for millions dollars investment but at only a professionally developed and approach to the software can make a software product truly sound and beneficial. The implication that I faced during development was related to application of constraints.
