Abstract:
This study is conducted to observe the impact of cloud computing on supply chain management
process .the impact of technology over functional process of SCM. The process of SCM can be
more modify by using cloud computing technology. The current impact and future impact of
cloud computing on SCM is discussed in this study. The use of information technology has
greatly impacted the overall organization in terms of performance and its working environment.
Large number of organizations and institutes are planning for the migration of their software
information solution to the dynamic and new technologies of Could Computing.
Now a day, cloud computing has been integrated into number of fields. The use of the cloud
computing technology has provided a positive impact on the Supply Chain Management (SCM).
The cloud computing have provided a unified one stop solution for the entire stake holder linking
with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) and supply chain processes. With the help of
utilizing the cloud computing solution, a unique platform is provided for the effective, secure,
reliable and efficient collaboration and communication.
A large number of organizations in the different parts of the world are using cloud computing
technologies in the process performing different type of tasks and operations relating to the
supply chain management and other processes. These solutions have been designed and
implemented by the software and application development companies. These solutions have
helped the supply chain management (SCM) companies to provide services without any
boundaries and limitations. With the help of the cloud computing solution, the information can
be quickly send or retrieved in the Supply Chain Management life cycle. The solution is based
on the cloud computing technologies and helps in balancing the supply and demand of the
product, services or goods. There are number of indicators in the Supply Chain Management
(SCM). These indicators are provided on the graphical interface of the solution or deployed
application and help the Supply Chain Management (SCM)’s stakeholders for the continuous
monitoring.
This research study investigates the impact of the clouding computing on supply chain
management (SCM). This solution allows the supply chain partner to get the latest analysis for
the calculation of the real demand and forecasting. The use of the information and communication technologies (1CT) is increasing because of the major benefits of cloud
computing based solutions. These solutions have a great impact on business and functional
operations of natural disasters. These solutions have the ability to integrate supply chain
management (SCM) life cycle in order to reduce this risk analysis.
Many constrains are involved in the cloud computing solution. The security is considered as one
of the main issue in the implementation of these solutions. A large number of organizations are
worried about the data security. However, software and application development companies are
looking and researching for resolving the security issues which are concerned in the cloud
computing technologies.
Many business and organization processes are designed and migrated their functions to the
cloud computing solution. The supply chain is still a new area for cloud computing solution and
applications. In future, a number of advancement are expected in the field of the cloud
computing covering its main aspects.
